He highlighted the Institute’s ongoing investment in future-focused areas, including Digital Assets, Artificial Intelligence and Fintech, while underlining the importance of adaptability, innovation and continuous professional development in an increasingly dynamic industry environment. Mr Calleya also referred to the Institute’s participation in the European Union Erasmus+ MiCreS Project, an international initiative aimed at developing a European certification framework for micro-credentials and qualifications in banking and finance. He noted the successful completion of a pilot course linked to ESG and expressed the Institute’s anticipation of bringing this important project to a successful conclusion later this year.
Ms Bonamy Mercieca, Vice President – Education of IFS Malta, addressed graduates directly, encouraging them to embrace ambition, remain resilient and continue investing in their personal and professional growth throughout their careers.
The ceremony also featured an address by Alexandra Sciberras, who recently completed the Chartered Banker MBA through Bangor University, North Wales.
