The Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification is a postgraduate level specialist qualification which encompasses the breadth of knowledge needed to provide a highest quality service to clients. It is a progressive qualification comprised of three units:
It provides a sound grounding in economics and interpretation of economic statistics, financial statements, investment analysis, portfolio construction and applied wealth management.
This qualification is for Wealth Managers, IFAs, private client managers, discretionary portfolio managers and private bankers. It is suitable for staff working in wealth management who wish to demonstrate their competence in devising investment portfolios that meet clients’ needs.
It is a requirement that all candidates hold an appropriate benchmark qualification prior to enrolling in the Masters. An indicative list of appropriate qualifications include:

Get Qualified is an initiative that supports the personal development of individuals for the achievement of qualifications and certifications required by industry. The incentive is applicable to individuals following a course of studies leading to a certification, diploma, degree or post-graduate degree courses. Upon successful completion the student will benefit from up to 70% tax credit enabling them to recover part of the costs incurred.
Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI)
The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment is the leading professional body for securities, investment, wealth and financial planning professionals.
The recommended study time for this course is 200 hours per unit, thus a total of 600 hours.
Exams are held twice a year, in June and December
Assessment is done by a 3 hour written exam
The Certificate in International Advanced Wealth Management is a higher-level qualification for experienced wealth managers and investment advisers.
The Diploma in Investment Operations offers practitioners the opportunity to specialise in the administration of investment funds and custody and settlement.
This certificate has been specifically designed to provide students with a direct-entry route into the financial services industry. This programme is ideal for juniors starting their career within the financial services sector.
