ifs Malta has been at the forefront of providing and fostering professional education in the local financial services sector since 1961. Education has always been the backbone of the financial services sector’s continuous development and this has been the key to the Institute’s success. The Institute is committed to continue to strengthen financial services education for the benefit of its members, the financial services sector, its practitioners and the Maltese society in general.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

The Corporate Relations & Business Development Manager of ifs Malta, is responsible and accountable for:-

 executing delegated responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the office, in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Institute’s Committee and respective line management;
 developing, executing, and overseeing the business strategy, prioritizing growth, building of relationships and positive customer service reviews;
 maintaining and developing new education programmes;
 organising events for the Institute;
 drafting, distributing and uploading of any marketing material as necessary;
 maintaining and enhancing the existing portfolio of clients;
 presenting ideas for events and conferences, which will market ifs Malta’s courses and services within the industry, through which the Institute’s profile will be enhanced;
 conducting high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions;
 participating in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders;
 interacting with clients and responding to any queries;
 maintaining excellent relations with the various students, regulatory bodies, conference attendees, organisations and partner institutions.

 

Personal characteristics, competencies and experience: –
The ideal candidate:-
 should be a self-starter and highly motivated individual;
 have a proven sales track record;
 is able to work on own initiative, is reliable and trustworthy;
 must be highly organised and with a disposition and eagerness for continuous personal development and lifelong learning;
 must have a team-oriented approach;
 must have knowledge of the use of social media for marketing purposes;
 should have a solid command of the English language (verbal and written), with excellent communication skills;
 must possess sharp negotiation and networking skills;
 must have excellent organizational skills;
 must be target driven and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;
 must be of unquestionable integrity with a clean police conduct;
 must hold a valid and clean driving licence.
A minimum academic qualification, ideally in a financial services area, at MQF level 5 or working towards the achievement of such is expected.

Experience in education and knowledge of the financial services sector will be considered an asset.
