Vice President Mark Agius and Committee members Wendy Zammit and Joseph Agius are leading the Institute’s participation and are working closely with international partners as preparations gather pace for the project’s concluding conference in Brussels this October.

The importance of the initiative was also highlighted by ifs Malta President Peter Calleya during the Institute’s 2026 Graduation Ceremony, which was presided over by Mr Jesmond Gatt, Chairperson of the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), and attended by close to 200 graduates and guests. During his address, President Calleya recognised the team’s commitment and valuable contribution to this landmark European project. The MiCreS initiative brings together partners from across Europe to develop an innovative certification framework for micro-credentials in banking and finance, reinforcing ifs Malta’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence, innovation and international collaboration.
